The Answer Place
The Answer Place provides two distinct services for the state. As the Adoption Exchange for the State of Wisconsin, it is our responsibility to provide factual, objective information on adoption to the citizens of the state. In 2006, our staff responded to more than 15,000 phone calls and e-mails requesting information about the process of adopting, asking about a specific child or children, or with post-placement questions and concerns. The Foster Care and Adoption Resource Center provides information and referrals for individuals thinking about becoming foster parents or who are currently foster parents
throughout Wisconsin. The Center works to recruit and retain foster parents as well as support foster care professionals across the state.
The Answer Place also includes The Family Resource Center library, with books, videotapes and DVDs, brochures and articles on a wide range of topics relating to adoption, foster care and the issues that can accompany them.
Funding for Answer Place programs comes primarily from the Wisconsin Department of Health & Family Services. ARW has recruited a substantial number of in-kind donations to help us carry out these programs. |
